Starting and Ending at Lukla, The Everest Base Camp Trek takes you on a scenic flight to Tenzing-Hilary Airport at Lukla (2860 m) from Kathmandu- the cultural epicenter of Nepal. Undergo trekking as you walk across the cerulean landscape of the Sagarmatha and enjoy the coruscating hallmarks of the landscape shadowed by the tallest mountain peaks on the planet. Important Note: At Glorious Himalaya Trekking, we prioritize your safety at all times while traveling. We want our guests and staff to be in an as safe environment as possible, and have authorized our trekking leaders to modify, cancel or update any part of the itinerary, if necessary due to safety reasons.

However, we promise that we will do our best to stick to the original itinerary. Natural disasters, weather disturbances, health conditions or any other mishap may, however, force us to change the original itinerary. We seek your understanding under such circumstances.


Equipment List

Head: Sun hat or scarf, light balaclavas or warm fleece hats, sunglasses with UV protection

Lower Body: Hiking shorts, cotton long pants, light thermal bottoms for expedition, fleece or woolen pants (seasonal), waterproof shell pants (preferably those made of breathable fabric)

Feet: Thin, lightweight inner socks; warm, thick wool hiking socks; hiking boots with spare laces; camp shoes (sneakers and/or sandals); gaiters for hiking in the winter to the base camp

Upper Body: T-shirts, lightweight thermal tops meant for an expedition, fleece jackets or pullovers, wind-stopper jackets (optional), waterproof shell jackets (preferably breathable fabric), a down vest and/or a jacket*

Hands: Lightweight gloves, thick gloves or mittens with a waterproof outer shell (seasonal)

Personal Hygiene: - Wet wipes (baby wipes), tissue /toilet roll, anti-bacterial handwash

Accessories: Sleeping bag (rated zero degree centigrade),* headlamps (eg, Petzl Zoom) with spare bulbs and batteries, trekking bags/duffel bags*, basic first aid kits and large plastic bags, daypack (approximately 2500 to 3000 cubic inches), trekking poles, water bottles (2) or camel bags, toiletries (Small wash towels, toilet papers, etc), earplugs ( just in case)

Toiletries: Medium-sized, quick-drying towels, toothbrushes and paste (preferably biodegradable), multipurpose soap bars (preferably biodegradable), deodorants, nail clippers, face, and body moisturizer, female hygiene products

Extras: Binoculars, books, trail maps/guidebooks, notebooks and pens, swimming costume
